Skopelos at New World
Here in Pensacola we’re lucky to have several restaurants that serve great cow, but the Certified Angus Lip-On Steak with Chef Silivos’ Carpetbagger topping at Skopelos is quite possibly the best I have EVER had. The history and long success of this Pensacola landmark restaurant have always intrigued me, and I’m here to tell you the cuisine lives up to it’s venerable reputation. I have a bad habit of rushing through eating steak because I enjoy the flavor best 🔥, but not when I order this meltingly tender beef with Chef Silivos’ delicate, buttery crab and shrimp spooned over. Time feels like it e x p a n d s, and I linger over this meal hanging on to each delicious moment not wanting the experience to end.
